The Hikvision outdoor magnetic contact is designed for outdoor mounting on doors, fences, and gates.
The Hikvision outdoor magnetic contact has the model number DS-PDMCX-E-WE It's a fully secure two-way wireless detector with opening detection, tamper protection, low-battery monitoring, and connection monitoring. It can operate for up to 5 years from a built-in battery.
Range from the Hikvision Hub
The range from the Hub to the Hikvision DS-PDMCX-E-WE magnetic contact is 1,600 meters in open space. The connection is continuously monitored by the Hikvision Cloud. If the wireless signal is intentionally disrupted, you will be notified immediately via the Hik-Connect app on your smartphone. The Hikvision wireless signal is called Tri-X and operates on two different frequencies in the 868MHz band and has AES-128 encryption.
Register and assemble
All Hikvision products are easy to connect. Enrollment is done via a QR code on each device. Set the Hik-Connect app to "Enroll" mode and you can start adding products by scanning the QR code in the app.
Hikvision outdoor magnetic contact settings
Besides setting the opening detection, you can make several other adjustments. For example, you can choose to use the detector as a doorbell. As soon as someone opens the door, you'll hear a chime on your phone. This doorbell function is ideal for retailers, as it allows you to be notified when someone opens your door. You can also specify when the detector should detect: only when you arm the alarm system, or permanently, for example.
Battery operated
Like all Hikvision products in the AX Pro alarm system, the detector is battery-powered. The standard version of the Hikvision magnetic contact, like the motion detectors, uses a CR123A battery, making it completely wireless. All detectors can therefore be easily installed anywhere without the need to run cables. The standard batteries supplied have a lifespan of 5 years under normal use. After this period, they can be easily replaced with new ones. These batteries are always in stock. The magnetic contact is suitable for temperatures between -20 and +60 degrees Celsius. The sensor measures 40.5mm x 146mm x 40.9mm and the magnet 30.5mm x 146mm x 40.9mm, and it weighs 247 grams. The entire unit is IP66 certified.
