Description
Video Balun set for video, data and power over UTP
This video balun consists of two devices that convert BNC signals to send them out via a data/UTP cable, and also directly power the camera. At the other end is another device that converts the signal back to BNC. By connecting a 12-volt power supply to the recorder side, the camera also receives power via the UTP cable.
In addition, the distances that can be achieved for good transmission over UTP cable are many times longer than when using a coaxial cable.
With coaxial cables, in some cases, an amplifier is needed after 100 meters because the image strength is too weak. With video baluns and a UTP cable, you can achieve distances of over 400 meters.
