With Hikvision, for example, you set the locus (area you want to detect) with sensitivity and threshold value, pre and post recording; Dahua also has these values, but there is also Anti Dither and Record Delay... something that is difficult to adjust. Sometimes the recording moments are repeated in the same trigger and recording moments. I can't get that clear yet. Playback viewing of recordings on a tablet is also only possible vertically, so the entire screen cannot be used for playback. Furthermore, a great camera with good night vision and color.
