  Video Balun set for video, data and power over UTP This video Balun is a balun set which consists of two devices that convert BNC signals and then send them over a data/UTP cable, as well as directly supplying power to the camera. At the other end is the other device to convert the signal back to BNC. By placing a 12-volt power supply on the recorder side, the camera also receives power via the UTP. The distances that can be achieved for good transmission over UTP cable are also many times longer than if a coaxial cable were used. With coaxial cables, in some cases an amplifier must be used after 100 meters because the image strength is weakened too much. With Video baluns and a UTP cable you can achieve distances of more than 400 meters.
