Description
The Superior NVR H2DAI2GAC is an AI-powered 8-channel NVR with support for 2 hot-swappable hard drives (HDDs not included), 2 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and a 4K HDMI output. The NVR integrates Ajax cameras and third-party IP cameras into a single ecosystem.
The Superior NVR H2D series features built-in AI, enabling intelligent analysis in legacy installations without replacing the cameras. This allows for the detection of people, pets, vehicles, and line crossings with the same accuracy as Ajax cameras. Notifications can also be sent upon detection, sirens can be activated, or scenarios can be executed.
The NVR H2D can accommodate two hot-swappable hard drives, each with a maximum capacity of 24 TB, which is ideal for continuous archiving and reliable backup. The hard drives can be configured in two different recording modes:
- Split Mode – Recordings are stored alternately on one of the hard drives. If one drive fails, only the footage from the remaining drive will remain available. (RAID0)
- Redundancy Mode – Recordings are duplicated and stored on both drives to ensure a complete backup (RAID 1 – mirroring)
In addition to management via the app, the NVR features a 4K HDMI output, allowing users to view live and archived footage directly on a connected monitor.
The Superior NVR H2D operates on 110–240 VAC mains power.

Since this model does not have built-in PoE ports, it is ideal for installations that already use an external PoE switch or existing network infrastructure.
