This makes the camera extremely suitable for different detection methods. This series of thermal cameras from Hikvision is equipped with DeepinView technology. This technology allows vehicles and people to be distinguished from other objects. This makes the camera ideal for outdoor detection with a minimal risk of false alarms. In addition, this camera supports temperature measurements and fire detection algorithms. Detection based on Deep Learning algorithm: HeatPro has a special chip for deep learning technology. This is combined with the improved VCA 2.0 with object classification of persons and vehicles. This makes detection of people and vehicles extra accurate.  Actively deter unwanted people with strobe LED: HeatPro cameras are equipped as standard with a white strobe LED that can be activated by, for example, a detection or alarm. This can be used to deter or to warn Delivered including 32GB SD card: The camera comes standard with a 32GB SD card that can be used for recording. Also suitable for temperature measurement and fire detection with push notifications: The thermal part of a HeatPro camera can also be used for temperature measurement with an accuracy of +/- 8°C. This can be used to detect temperatures that are too high or too low. The camera also has fire detection. This is an advanced algorithm that can recognize a fire in its incipient phase and raise the alarm at an early stage. This function cannot be combined with VCA detection Picture in picture display: With a picture in picture display, the thermal image can be displayed in the optical display The main features of this camera are: Temperature alarm Fire detection algorithm Temperature measurement and display AI detection based on Deep Learning algorithms Specifications: Camera Number of image sensors: 2   Optical/Thermal: Optical   Image sensor: 1/2.7   Minimum lighting strength (in color): 0.0176 Lux   Minimum lighting strength (LED on (black/white)): 0.0035 Lux   Lighting: IR, Strobe Lighting   LED distance: up to 40m   LED On/Off (Day/Night): Auto/Manual   Shutter speed: 1s to 1/100,000s   Noise reduction: 3DNR   Video Output: No   Image sensor2: Vanadium Oxide Uncooled Focal Plane Arrays   Optical/Thermal2: Thermal   Number of Pixels2: 160x120   Sensitivity2: Lens Lens type: Fixed lens   Iris: Fixed Iris   Focal Length: 8mm   Maximum opening: F1.6   Horizontal opening angle: 39.42°   Vertical opening angle: 22.14°   Focus Control: None   Focal length2: 9.7mm   Maximum opening2: F1.1   Horizontal opening angle2: 15.96°   Vertical opening angle2: 12°   Temperature range2: 20°~150°C   Temperature accuracy2: ±8°C Video Video compression: H.264, H.264+, H.265, H.265+   Images per second (Main stream): Optical: 25fps @2688 × 1520Thermal 25fps @1280×720   2nd stream: Optical: 25fps @704×576Thermal 25fps @704×576   Day/Night: Auto (filter)   Light compensation: WDR(120dB)   Digital Zoom: x4   Motion detection: On/Off       Smart Features: AI Perimeter Protection     Fire detection & alarm     Intrusion Detection     Line Crossing     Region Entrance Detection     Region Exit Detection     Temperature measurement   Privacy masking: Yes Audio Built-in microphone: No   Audio input: Yes   Audio Output: Yes   Audio Compression: G.711 A, G.711 U, G.722.1, G.726, MP2L2, PCM   Speaker: Yes for Audio alarm Network Ethernet: 1 RJ45 10M/100M Self-adaptive Ethernet interface   SD card storage option: Yes   Maximum Storage Capacity SD Card: 256GB Interface RS-485: Yes   Alarm: Yes   Number of channels in: 2x 0-5vDC   Number of channels out: 2x Electric including power supply: No   Power supply: 12V DC, PoE (Type IEEE 802.3af)   Max Consumption: 6.5W Environment Working temperature: -40°C ~ +65°C   Waterproofness: IP66 General Supplied accessories: DS-1260ZJ Mounting box Construction Material Plastic/Metal   Height 115.2mm   Width 113.5mm   Depth 358.3mm   Weight: 1.76 Kg

What is a Hikvision thermal camera?

A Hikvision thermal camera works differently than a standard security camera. Instead of visible light, the camera records heat differences. People, vehicles and animals emit heat and therefore become clearly visible, even when it is pitch dark or when weather conditions are bad.

One Hikvision thermal imaging camera is therefore not intended to recognize faces, but to reliably detect movement and temperature differences. This makes these cameras particularly suitable for securing sites, business premises and critical infrastructure.

Why choose Hikvision thermal imaging cameras?

Hikvision is known for its reliable technology and smart software. You can also see this in their thermal cameras. Some important benefits:

  • Always in view, 24/7
Dark, rain, fog or smoke? No problem. The camera continues to work where regular cameras fail.

  • Fewer false positives
Thanks to smart detection, the camera distinguishes between people, vehicles and, for example, moving branches.

  • Ideal for large areas
Think of industrial estates, solar parks, ports or warehouses where lighting alone is not sufficient.

  • Privacy-friendly
Because no recognizable images are recorded, a thermal camera is often easier to use within privacy guidelines.

That gives you peace of mind. You know you won't miss anything, even outside office hours.

Thermal camera Hikvision

Most Hikvision thermal cameras can measure the temperature accurately to a few degrees. Do you want an even more accurate measurement, for example for fever detection? Then it is better to opt for a special fever screening camera. This type of cameras provides very accurate results thanks to the patented temperature algorithm. Moreover, with such a thermal camera from Hikvision you can measure the body temperature of dozens of people at the same time. This allows you to easily identify people with elevated positions in large spaces without inconvenience.

This makes Hikvision thermal cameras suitable not only for security, but also for specific applications such as health checks in public areas.

Practical applications

One Hikvision thermal camera is often used in places where reliability is crucial.

Example 1: industrial estate
Imagine a large industrial estate with multiple entrances. At night the site is deserted and poorly lit. A thermal imaging camera immediately detects a person entering the site, even before he comes close to the building.

Example 2: warehouse or production hall
In large indoor spaces, a thermal camera can help detect unwanted presence or even overheating of machines. In this way, the camera contributes to both security and safety.

Differences between models

Not every Hikvision thermal imaging camera is the same. There are models that are mainly aimed at perimeter security, and variants that perform temperature measurements. Important differences are in:

  • Measuring range and accuracy

  • Combination with an optical (normal) camera

  • Suitable for indoor or outdoor use

  • Specific software for detection or analysis

That may sound technical, but don't worry: in our showroom we will explain this step by step, tailored to your situation.

Advice and demonstration in Gorinchem

Are you unsure which model best suits your situation? That is very normal. Thermal camera security is tailor-made. In our showroom in Gorinchem we would like to show you how a Hikvision thermal camera works and what you can expect in practice. This way you can experience with your own eyes what thermal imaging technology does.

Frequently asked questions about Hikvision thermal cameras

What is the difference between a thermal camera and a regular security camera?

A normal camera uses visible light, a thermal camera measures heat. This means that a thermal camera also works in complete darkness or in bad weather.

Can a Hikvision thermal imaging camera recognize faces?

No, thermal cameras are not intended for facial recognition. They detect heat and movement, which makes them privacy-friendly.

Are thermal cameras suitable for indoor use?

Of course. They are often used in warehouses, production halls or large public spaces.

How do I connect a Hikvision thermal camera?

This can be done via a network (IP camera). They are often connected to an NVR or security system. We are happy to help you with this, from advice to installation.

How can you reset a Hikvision thermal imaging camera?

You usually reset the camera with the reset button on the housing: turn off the power, press and hold the reset button, turn on the power and hold it for 10–20 seconds until the camera restarts. It will then be reset to factory settings (password and network data will be deleted). If you can still log in, you can also reset via the System > Maintenance > Factory settings menu. If you have lost the admin password, additional recovery via Hikvision software is sometimes required.
