This Hikvision wireless PIR curtain detector can be mounted both on the inside and outside of the home. It can be mounted vertically on a wall, but it can also be mounted horizontally on the ceiling.

The Hikvision PIR curtain detector, mounted on a wall, can monitor an area of 10 meters from the sensor for movement at an angle of 5 degrees. This detector is therefore ideal for securing specific areas, for example along windows or doors. If you mount the detector on the ceiling, this detector can look 5 meters in all directions, also at an angle of 5 degrees.
The sensitivity is adjustable via the Hik-Connect application on your smartphone. There are a total of 2 modes, automatic and animal-friendly. The latter should be chosen if there are cats or dogs in the area to be protected, or if the detector is mounted outside in an area where cats regularly walk around.
Mounting height
The ideal height to mount the PIR curtain detector is between 2 meters and 3.50 meters high. If you mount the PIR curtain detector lower than the recommended height, it will respond more quickly to pets and the detection distance will also decrease. Of course, all installation supplies are included.
Register and install
All Hikvision products are easy to connect. Registration is done with a QR code on each device. Do you have multiple detectors that you want to register at the same time? Then use the handy “enroll” function so that you do not have to scan any QR codes. Activate “Enroll”, turn on the detector, and the connection is a fact.
Mount the detector on a wall or ceiling and ensure that there are no vases, cupboards or glass objects blocking the viewing angle.
Battery operated
Like all Hikvision products of the AX Pro alarm system, the detector operates on CR123A batteries and is therefore completely wireless. They are therefore easy to place anywhere without having to install cables. The lifespan of the standard batteries supplied is 5 years with normal use. After this time, they can easily be replaced with new ones for a few euros.
The PIR curtain detector operates in temperatures between -10 and +55 degrees Celsius. Outside these values, the detection quality may decrease. The dimensions are 29.2mm x 134.4mm x 39.5mm and the weight is 118.5 grams.
