The product is used to detect fire hazards in the interior of residential and commercial buildings. The detector is not intended for installation in an industrial environment. The detector is powered via the control panel bus.

When the detector is used with batteries (3x 1.5 V AA), from which it can be powered, it will continue to function as a standalone detector when the 12 V supply is disconnected (EN 14604).

The smoke detector has a built-in siren that signals fire and burglar alarms. This message is accepted by all detectors in the system!

The detector indicates fire danger using the built-in LED indicator and acoustic signaling.

The JA-111ST-A product consists of two independent detectors – an optical smoke detector and a heat detector. The optical smoke detector works according to the principle of scattered light. It is very sensitive to coarser dust particles present in dense smoke. The product is less sensitive to smaller particles generated by combustion of liquids such as alcohol. That is why the fire detector also contains a built-in heat detector, which reacts more slowly, but is better able to detect a fire that generates only a small amount of smoke.
